Real Cash Economy
The Real Cash Economy (RCE) in the Entropia Universe means that the virtual items inside the universe have a real value.In order to develop your character in the Entropia Universe it is necessary to invest in your character. You may wish to purchase tools, weapons, real estate or a range of other items. These items cost PED (the Entropia Universe currency).

Real world currencies may be transferred into your secure Entropia Universe account where they are then exchanged into PED. The PED currency is directly connected to the real world economy through a fixed exchange rate with the US dollar, where 10 PED = 1US$. So if you deposit 10 US dollars, you will have 100 PED availabel to use In-World.Particpants often accumlate PED through the sale of manufactured items and by offering services to others and may at any time withdraw their accumulated PED back into real world currencies according to the exchange rate mentioned above.
